At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019, a man was killed in a tragic vehicular accident that occurred in Waco, Texas.
According to initial reports, an SUV was driving along Interstate 35 when the driver attempted to merge. However, the vehicle struck a construction sign and knocked it into the roadway. A pickup truck then drove over the sign on the highway, causing the piece of it to go airborne. The metal piece then went through the windshield of a Ford passenger car and struck the passenger, identified as 55-year-old Rodolfo Guerra.
Guerra was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford was uninjured in this accident.
The crash still remains under investigation.
It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Rodolfo Guerra. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.
Car accidents are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families.
