Pasadena — 2 Dead After Head-On Collision on Texas State Highway 225

Posted on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at 11:52 pm by Williams Hart

On Saturday, March 16, 2019, two people were killed in a head-on collision that happened in Pasadena, Texas.

According to initial reports, a driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Texas State Highway 225, near Bearle Street, when the vehicle collided head-on with another. Both of the drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of the deaths of the two unidentified drivers. Alas, they are not the only ones whose lives are taken away by a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A specific kind of car accident that is incredibly deadly is a head-on collision. The reason why a head-on collision is said to be incredibly deadly is because of the increased force that is sustained by both vehicles. Reports estimate that head-on collisions only comprise 2% of reported crashes, but they account for over 10% of driving fatalities. Some of the common outcomes of a head-on collision are spinal injuries, brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, broken bones, paralysis, and of course death.

Car accidents, especially head-on collisions, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/head-on collisions, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. La Porte — 2-Vehicle Crash Knocks Down Power Lines on Texas State Highway 225

Posted on Monday, March 11th, 2019 at 8:54 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019, a two-vehicle crash caused the power lines to be knocked down in La Porte, Texas.

According to initial reports, the collision, which involved a heavy truck, occurred in the eastbound lanes of Texas State Highway 225, near Miller Cut Off Road. The accident knocked down the power lines, causing power outages in the area, and it also caused the lanes to be closed for a few hours to allow crews to clean up.

It is not yet clear if there are any injuries in this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the two vehicles in this accident. Alas, they are not the only ones who are affected by a vehicular accident. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Additionally, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is another kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million tractor-trailers roaming in the United States, and each year, they get involved in about 500,000 accidents. And since the size of a tractor-trailer is enormous, the results of this kind of accident are catastrophic, from a severe injury to death.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving trucks, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/truck accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Pasadena — Man Survives After Being Impaled by Pole in Car Accident

Posted on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at 7:20 pm by Williams Hart

A Marine man survived after he was impaled by a pole during a car accident that occurred over the Christmas holiday break in 2018.

According to reports, Fernando Dominguez, 20, was driving on Texas State Highway 225, near Scarborough, heading home to spend time with his family and friends when he suddenly fell asleep behind the wheel. The next thing he knew was that he could not move and that he was pinned to his car seat, impaled by a metal pole. Using his feet to get his phone, he called 911 and was eventually flown to the hospital.

Dominguez has had multiple surgeries, but thankfully, he has now been discharged from the hospital and is surrounded by his family.

It is great to hear that Fernando Dominguez survived this horrific accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky.

There are three most common causes for car accidents, and these are DUI (driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol), speeding, and driving while distracted. The latter seemed to be the case for Dominguez.

Car accidents are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers.
