San Antonio — 1 Person Killed, 2 Others Injured in Rollover Accident on North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 at 10:33 pm by Williams Hart

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, one person was killed and two others were injured in a rollover accident that occurred in San Antonio, Texas.

According to initial reports, an SUV was traveling along North Loop 1604 West, near Tradesmen Drive, when all of sudden, it struck the wall and rolled over.

A male occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Another male occupant was hospitalized in critical condition, and a woman was in stable condition.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is considered to be one of the deadliest is a rollover. A 2010 statistics showed that rollovers comprised only 2.1% of nearly 9.1 million vehicular accidents, but they did account for well over 35% of all deaths. According to numerous studies, about 69% of the people who died from rollovers were not wearing any seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving rollovers, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rollover accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

San Antonio — 31-Year-Old Man Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash on North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 at 9:31 pm by Williams Hart

At around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, a man was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash occurred in San Antonio, Texas.

According to initial reports, the 31-year-old man was operating a motorcycle along North Loop 1604 West, near Vance Jackson Road, when he drove across two lanes toward a divider, attempted to pass vehicles on the shoulder, and struck a drainage ditch in the buffer zone. The man then lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown off.

The man was transported to University Hospital and remains in stable condition.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the unidentified man. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Motorcycle accidents, a type of vehicular accident, are common despite the fact that motorcycles are initially believed to be far less crashworthy than closed vehicles. In 2016, the NHTSA reported that 5,286 people died in motorcycle accidents. In the same year as well, it is reported that motorcyclists were 28 times more likely than passenger car occupants to die in a crash per vehicle mile traveled.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving motorcycles, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in motorcycle accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. San Antonio — 1 Person Dead, Another Injured After Single-Vehicle Accident on North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Wednesday, March 25th, 2020 at 10:07 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, one person was dead and another was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in San Antonio, Texas.

According to initial reports, a 2004 Dodge Durango was traveling along North Loop 1604 West when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle crashed on the main eastbound lanes, ejecting a male passenger.

That person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger, a man in his 20s, was seriously hurt. He was taken to University Hospital.

The unidentified driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and was taken into police custody. The driver will be charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Moreover, statistics show that about 16% of these car accidents are crashes where the vehicle leaves the road. In this type of car crash, a car would usually collide into a lamppost, a tree, or a building, etc. Lamppost and tree collisions comprise about 31% of fatalities in this type of vehicular accident.

There are a lot of possible causes and factors for this kind of vehicular crash. Some of these are drunken/distracted driving, traffic accidents, medical emergencies, age, and even the weather (for example, the fog making the roads not visible, or the rain making the road slippery, etc.).

Car accidents are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. San Antonio — Woman Injured in Wrong-Way Collision on North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at 7:16 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 1 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, a wrong-way collision occurred on the Northwest Side of San Antonio, Texas, and it claimed the life of one woman.

According to initial reports, a pickup truck was traveling the wrong way on North Loop 1604 West, near the Babcock Road exit, when eventually, it crashed head-on into a sedan. The female driver of the sedan was pinned inside as a result of the collision.

The woman, identified as 23-year-old Taylor McCowan, was taken to University Hospital for her injuries. She was pronounced dead nearly two weeks after the accident.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody and is charged with intoxication assault and unlawful carry of a firearm.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the unidentified woman.

A specific kind of car accident that is incredibly deadly is a head-on collision. The reason why a head-on collision is said to be incredibly deadly is because of the increased force that is sustained by both vehicles. Reports estimate that head-on collisions only comprise 2% of reported crashes, but they account for over 10% of driving fatalities. Some of the common outcomes of a head-on collision are spinal injuries, brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, broken bones, paralysis, and of course death.

Car accidents, especially head-on collisions, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/head-on collisions, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. San Antonio — Female Construction Worker Killed in Hit-And-Run Accident North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 7:55 pm by Williams Hart

At around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019, a female construction worker was killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in San Antonio, Texas.

According to initial reports, the woman stopped her company truck on the right shoulder of the North Loop 1604 West and activated the warning lights before getting out of the vehicle. The woman, who was wearing the required safety vest, was loading a signboard on the back of the truck when a dark gray Ford Explorer veered off the road and struck a trailer the construction truck was towing. As a result, the woman was pinned between the vehicles.

After the collision, the driver of the Explorer did not stop to render aid and, instead, continued traveling westbound on the roadway.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of the unidentified woman. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Car accidents are reported to be deadly for pedestrians particularly. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) estimates that the number of pedestrian deaths in the U.S. is 6,000 in 2017. This is a 27% increase from 2007 to 2016, and it is said that the number in 2017 is a 25-year high.

There are five states that had the most number of pedestrian fatalities in 2017, and these are California, Florida, New York, Arizona, and Texas. These states accounted for about 43% of pedestrian fatalities during the first half of 2017 despite the fact that they are home to only 30% of the U.S. population. The GHSA also claims that children and the elderly are the most vulnerable to this kind of accident.

Additionally, another particular kind of vehicular accident that is quite common and deadly is a hit-and-run. According to a study done by roadside-assistance giant AAA, there were 2,049 hit-and-run deaths that occurred in 2016. This number is the highest annual total on record, and in the decade leading up to that number, 682,000 hit-and-run crashes happened each year.

Car accidents, especially the auto-pedestrian and hit-and-run ones, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/auto-pedestrian/hit-and-run accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. San Antonio — Driver Dead, Passenger Injured in Rollover Accident on North Loop 1604 West

Posted on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 9:14 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019, one person was killed in a rollover accident that happened in San Antonio, Texas.

According to police reports, Felipe Nava, 29, was driving a Lincoln Navigator at a high rate of speed westbound on North Loop 1604 West, near La Centera Parkway, and he tried to pass a Toyota RAV4 in the middle lane, but he failed to safely pass it and struck the rear of the Toyota. As a result, the Navigator rolled over the grass median and landed in the 6400 block of the road. At least 10 vehicles were either struck by the vehicle during the rollover or by flying debris.

Nava was ejected from the vehicle and was eventually pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger with him was rushed to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Other victims of the crash were being treated at the scene, but no other information with regards to their condition is being released.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to Felipe Nava. Alas, he is not the only one whose life is taken away by a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays.
