Humble — Fire Destroys 8 Second-Floor Units at Apartment Complex on FM 1960

Posted on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 at 8:54 pm by Williams Hart

On the evening of Friday, September 6, 2019, several apartment units were destroyed after a fire broke out in Humble, Texas.

According to initial reports, the fire broke out at the Timbers of Deerbrook apartments, located on FM 1960. In all, it took about 75 to 100 firefighters and several hours before the fire was finally put out. Once the fire had been extinguished, at least eight second-floor units were destroyed, with another eight below badly damaged.

There were no reports of injuries.

The fire still remains under investigation.

It is great to hear that no one was injured in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky. Fire accidents like this are alarmingly common in the United States. Statistics show that in 2017, there were about 1,319,500 fire accidents that occurred in the country, and from that number, 3,400 people died and 14,670 were injured. It has also been noted that in terms of gender, more men die and get injured in fires than women, while in terms of race, African American males and American Indian males have the highest death rates per million population.

Moreover, in 2016, there were three states that had the most number of fire deaths, and these states were California, Texas, and Georgia.

Some of the common causes of fire for both residential buildings and non-residential buildings are cooking, unintentional/careless, intentional, and electric malfunction.

Fires can be incredibly appalling in all aspects for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers out there who specialize in accidents like this. Posted on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 at 8:15 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, two firefighters were treated during a three-alarm blaze bar in the Atascocita area of Humble, Texas.

According to initial reports, the fire was reported at the Coach’s Sports Bar and Grill in the 5300 block of East FM Road 1960, near Timber Forest Drive. The alarm for the fire was raised to third, and one firefighter was injured and brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, a second firefighter was brought to a hospital after suffering chest pains.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the two firefighters. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Fire accidents like this are alarmingly common in the United States. Statistics show that in 2017, there were about 1,319,500 fire accidents that occurred in the country, and from that number, 3,400 people died and 14,670 were injured. Humble — Man Killed in Fiery 18-Wheeler Crash on U.S. Route 59

Posted on Sunday, March 31st, 2019 at 11:38 pm by Williams Hart

At around 12:45 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019, a man was killed in a fiery 18-wheeler accident that occurred in Humble, Texas.

According to initial reports, an 18-wheeler that was carrying lawnmowers was traveling down on U.S. Route 59, near Townsend Boulevard and Loop 494, when it suddenly struck a barricade between the exit and the main lanes. As a result, the truck flipped over and burst into flames. The driver was still inside the truck when the firefighters arrived to combat the fire, so he was burned and killed in the blaze.

While the firefighters were working to put out the fire, another accident occurred because of rubbernecking, and it involved five vehicles. Some people had to be brought to the hospital, but no other information is released with regards to how many victims were sent or what their injuries were.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of the unidentified truck driver. Alas, he is not the only one whose life is taken away by a vehicular accident. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Moreover, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is a kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million tractor-trailers roaming in the United States, and each year, they get involved in about 500,000 accidents. And since the size of a tractor-trailer is enormous, the results of this kind of accident are catastrophic, from a severe injury to death.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving trucks, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/truck accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Humble — 48-Year-Old Man Killed in Vehicular Accident on Will Clayton Parkway

Posted on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 at 10:48 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019, a man was dead after a vehicular accident that happened at 6655 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble, Texas.

According to the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division, the 48-year-old man was driving a shuttle bus southbound on Will Clayton Parkway through the parking lot of the Fast Park pay parking lot when he apparently suffered a medical episode. As a result, the shuttle bus then struck seven unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot before coming to a stop. The victim was then brought to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

There were no other injuries reported.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the unidentified victim. Alas, he is not the only one whose life is taken away by a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

There are three most common causes for car accidents, and these are DUI (driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol), speeding, and driving while distracted. Other possible causes for car accidents include medical episodes/emergencies, age, and even the weather (for example, the fog making the roads not visible, or the rain making the road slippery, etc.).

Additionally, an accident involving a bus is a particular kind of vehicular accident, and it is fairly common even though buses are often deemed as a safe mode of transportation. According to the NHTSA, between 2000 and 2007, there have been 1,093 fatal bus accidents, and from this number, about 1,315 people died, and 3,471 were injured. In other words, about 137 bus-crash-related fatalities occur ever year.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving buses, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in bus accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Humble — Woman in Critical Condition After Crashing into Tractor-Trailer

Posted on Wednesday, February 13th, 2019 at 2:40 am by Williams Hart

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, a woman was left in critical condition after she crashed into a tractor-trailer on North Sam Houston Parkway feeder road.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a woman driver struck a tractor-trailer near 3598 North Sam Houston Parkway, which resulted to the popping of the load’s chain and the tilting of the cargo. The impact of this collision critically injured the woman, and she was brought to a local hospital.

Investigation showed that she did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the woman. Alas, she is not the only one who is affected by a car accident. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident.
