Spring — Pilot Sustains Injuries After Small Plane Crashes on Grand Parkway

Posted on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 at 7:33 pm by Williams Hart

A pilot sustained injuries after a small plane crashed in Harris County, Texas on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

According to initial reports, the small plane suddenly lost power during takeoff and crashed north of 10800 Grand Parkway. The pilot was the only person in the plane and walked away from the crash without major injuries after a hard crash in an open field.

The scene is active and investigation into the crash is ongoing.

It is great to hear that the pilot was not seriously injured in this accident. Unfortunately, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky. Aviation accidents are not as common as the other kinds of vehicular accidents, but it should be noted that though that is the case, airplane and helicopter crashes are significantly a lot more dangerous and devastating when they do happen. This is simply because of the extreme heights and speeds that are involved with them. Serious physical injuries and emotional and psychological damage are the expected outcomes of an aviation accident.

Some of the common causes of aviation accidents are air traffic controller error, negligence by the airline, airplane or helicopter pilot error, pilot intoxication, and helicopter or airplane defects and malfunction.

Aside from the devastating nature of aviation accidents, cases involving them are substantially complex, and as a result, a trusted attorney is needed to help the victim and their family. So, if you are a victim of an aviation accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help. Aviation accident lawyers are more than willing to help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Spring — Driver Killed, Woman Injured in Rollover Crash on Grand Parkway

Posted on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at 7:57 pm by Williams Hart

Just after noon on Monday, September 2, 2019, a driver was killed and a woman was injured in a rollover accident that occurred in the Spring area of north Harris County, Texas.

According to initial reports, a vehicle was speeding along the Grand Parkway, near FM 2920, when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, thus causing the vehicle to roll over.

As a result, the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a female passenger was trapped inside, and she was brought to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is considered to be one of the deadliest is a rollover. A 2010 statistics showed that rollovers comprised only 2.1% of nearly 9.1 million vehicular accidents, but they did account for well over 35% of all deaths. According to numerous studies, about 69% of the people who died from rollovers were not wearing any seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving rollovers, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rollover accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Houston — One Person Dead After Crash on Grand Parkway

Posted on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 at 11:17 pm by Williams Hart

One person was killed in a crash that occurred on Texas State Highway 99 north between Beckendorf and Freeman in west Harris County on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

According to authorities, a female driver was traveling northbound on the Grand Parkway when all of a sudden, she lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle flipped over and landed on top of a pickup truck that was also northbound. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman was brought to the hospital in an unknown condition.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of the unidentified pickup driver. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate because of a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. Houston — Man Charged with the Deaths of 2 People in Grand Parkway Accident

Posted on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at 7:22 pm by Williams Hart

A 54-year-old man has been charged with two counts of manslaughter for causing the deaths of two people in a devastating wrong-way car accident on the Grand Parkway on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

According to the reports, Charles Glaze’s vehicle crossed from the westbound lanes of Texas State Highway 99, over the median, and into oncoming traffic, hitting at least four vehicles. The collision caused twisted metal and shattered glass to be scattered across all lanes of the road. Two people died in this accident: Michael Brown, who was the driver of the silver Chevy crossover, and Linda Fuggiti, the driver of the Lexus.

Five other people, including Glaze, were brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Glaze was charged later for causing the deaths of Michael Brown and Linda Fuggiti. Prosecutors also noted that he has had previous crashes.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to Michael Brown and Linda Fuggiti. Alas, they are not the only ones whose lives are taken away by a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A specific kind of car accident that is incredibly deadly is a head-on collision. The reason why a head-on collision is said to be incredibly deadly is because of the increased force that is sustained by both vehicles. Reports estimate that head-on collisions only comprise 2% of reported crashes, but they account for over 10% of driving fatalities. Some of the common outcomes of a head-on collision are spinal injuries, brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, broken bones, paralysis, and of course death.

Car accidents, especially head-on collisions, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/head-on collisions, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers.
