El Paso — Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Crash on George Dieter Drive

Posted on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 at 8:56 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 1 in the morning on Friday, September 6, 2019, a motorcyclist was killed in a tragic vehicular accident that occurred on the east side of El Paso, Texas.

According to initial reports, Adrian Flores, 48, was operating a motorcycle southbound on George Dieter Drive when near the intersection of Trawood Drive, his motorcycle struck the curb, thus causing it to crash. Flores was not wearing a helmet, and so, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Adrian Flores. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Motorcycle accidents, a type of vehicular accident, are common despite the fact that motorcycles are initially believed to be far less crashworthy than closed vehicles. In 2016, the NHTSA reported that 5,286 people died in motorcycle accidents. In the same year as well, it is reported that motorcyclists were 28 times more likely than passenger car occupants to die in a crash per vehicle mile traveled.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving motorcycles, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in motorcycle accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

El Paso — Man Killed, 2 Others Injured in Head-On Collision on U.S. Route 62/180

Posted on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 at 9:16 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, a man was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision that occurred in El Paso, Texas.

According to initial reports, Gildrado Alberto Andujo Gonzalez, 29, was driving a Honda Accord westbound on the U.S. Route 62/180 when he crossed over onto the wrong side of the highway and struck an eastbound Ford F150 pickup that was towing another vehicle.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck, 30-year-old Marcos Hernandez, and the passenger, 22-year-old Luis Angel Garcia, were seriously injured and airlifted to area hospitals.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A specific kind of car accident that is incredibly deadly is a head-on collision. The reason why a head-on collision is said to be incredibly deadly is because of the increased force that is sustained by both vehicles. Reports estimate that head-on collisions only comprise 2% of reported crashes, but they account for over 10% of driving fatalities. Some of the common outcomes of a head-on collision are spinal injuries, brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, broken bones, paralysis, and of course death.

Additionally, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is another kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million tractor-trailers roaming in the United States, and each year, they get involved in about 500,000 accidents. And since the size of a tractor-trailer is enormous, the results of this kind of accident are catastrophic, from a severe injury to death.

Car accidents, especially head-on collisions and truck accidents, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/head-on collisions/truck accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

El Paso — Semi-Truck Crashes on Interstate 10, Causes Major Traffic Delays

Posted on Thursday, July 11th, 2019 at 8:29 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019, a crash involving a semi-truck in El Paso, Texas caused major traffic delays on the area.

According to initial reports, the semi-truck was traveling along Interstate 10 east, near Crockett Street and Buena Vista, when all of a sudden, it crashed. The accident caused major delays in the area, and the lanes were only opened hours later after the crews finished cleaning up the scene.

There are no reports of injuries as of right now.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is great to hear that no one was injured in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. El Paso — Man Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Accident on North Yarbrough Drive

Posted on Monday, July 8th, 2019 at 9:08 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019, a man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident that occurred in El Paso, Texas.

According to initial reports, Carlos Alfonso Martinez, 58, was trying to cross the 900 block of North Yarbrough Drive, but not in the crosswalk, when a 2008 Kia Optima was going south and struck him. Martinez was then brought to Del Sol Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Carlos Alfonso Martinez. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Car accidents are reported to be deadly for pedestrians particularly. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) estimates that the number of pedestrian deaths in the U.S. is 6,000 in 2017. This is a 27% increase from 2007 to 2016, and it is said that the number in 2017 is a 25-year high.

Additionally, there are five states that had the most number of pedestrian fatalities in 2017, and these are California, Florida, New York, Arizona, and Texas. These states accounted for about 43% of pedestrian fatalities during the first half of 2017 despite the fact that they are home to only 30% of the U.S. population. The GHSA also claims that children and the elderly are the most vulnerable to this kind of accident.

Car accidents, especially the auto-pedestrian ones, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/auto-pedestrian accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

El Paso — Teen Dead After Accident on Interstate 10

Posted on Monday, February 4th, 2019 at 1:45 am by Williams Hart

On Thursday, January 31, 2019, a 19-year-old man was killed after a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 10 in West El Paso.

The El Paso Police Department reported that Damian Renee Franco of Canutillo was driving a gray 2009 Dodge 1500 at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Interstate 10 East, near Sunland Park Drive, when he suddenly swerved to the left and hit a center cable divider. He then continued across the center dirt median and hit the inside of a westbound guardrail. The vehicle rolled over, and Franco was thrown out from the vehicle and landed on the westbound lanes on the roadway.

He was brought to University Medical Center, but unfortunately he died from his injuries. The police believed that Franco was inattentive at the time of the accident, thus leading to the crash.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Damian Renee Franco, but it is even more unfortunate to realize that he is not the first victim whose life is taken away by a car accident. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

The three primary causes of a car accident are DUI (driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol), speeding, and driving while distracted. From the reports of the police, it seems like the latter fits the case of Franco.

Car accidents are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers.
