Cleburne — 2 People Killed After Driver Tries to Turn in Front of Pickup Truck on U.S. Route 67

Posted on Monday, September 23rd, 2019 at 9:34 pm by Williams Hart

Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019, two people were killed in a T-bone collision that occurred in Cleburne, Texas.

According to initial reports, a 2019 Ford pickup truck pulling a cattle trailer and a 2015 Chevrolet car were traveling westbound on the U.S. Route 67 when the car moved to the shoulder of the highway and then tried to turn around in front of the pickup. As a result, the vehicles collided.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the pickup driver suffered no major injuries.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of car accident that is fairly common and also incredibly dangerous is the broadside collision, also known as the T-bone or side-impact collision. This kind of car accident involves a vehicle being hit on its side by the front end of another vehicle. Crash research and analysis of accident data have shown that broadside accidents represent 13% of all car accidents in the United States and that 18% of all fatal car accidents are broadside-style collisions.

Additionally, the NHTSA reported that about 8,000 people are killed every year in this type of accident. And more often than not, if someone is lucky enough to survive this collision, they might suffer from other severe injuries, such as brain injuries, broken bones, internal injuries, and back, neck, and spine injuries. Passengers on the struck side of the vehicle often sustain injuries far worse than those received in rear-end crashes.

Car accidents, especially broadside collisions, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/broadside collisions, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Cleburne — 9-Year-Old Boy Dies After Getting Ejected During Rollover on FM 3048

Posted on Monday, August 26th, 2019 at 8:01 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019, a young boy was killed in a rollover accident that occurred in Johnson County, Texas.

According to initial reports, a red 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling westbound on FM 3048, near Cleburne, when all of a sudden, it veered off the road and rolled over several times near the intersection of County Road 704A. A young boy who was a passenger in the car was ejected during the crash, and the vehicle came to rest on top of him. He was then brought to a Fort Worth hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of the young boy.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is considered to be one of the deadliest is a rollover. A 2010 statistics showed that rollovers comprised only 2.1% of nearly 9.1 million vehicular accidents, but they did account for well over 35% of all deaths. According to numerous studies, about 69% of the people who died from rollovers were not wearing any seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving rollovers, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rollover accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Posted on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at 9:58 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 5 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, a man and a woman were killed in a T-bone collision that occurred in Cleburne, Texas.

According to initial reports, a Chevrolet pickup was traveling southbound on North Main Street when it tried to turn east on Ross Avenue. However, a Dodge Ram pickup that was traveling northbound on North Main Street struck the Chevrolet.

A 67-year-old female passenger of the Chevrolet pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the same pickup, 75-year-old Robert Kammerdiener, was brought to a Fort Worth hospital where he later died the next day, May 7.

The 22-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram only suffered minor injuries.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the deaths of the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. Cleburne — Man Dead After Bicycle-Pickup Truck Collision on West Henderson Street

Posted on Monday, April 1st, 2019 at 10:30 pm by Williams Hart

At around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019, a man was killed in a bicycle accident that occurred in Cleburne, Texas.

According to Cleburne Police, Alfredo Rodriguez, 69, was traveling eastbound on West Henderson Street when in the 1300 block, he turned across the lanes of traffic and was struck by a pickup truck. Rodriguez was then transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead there.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured in this accident.

It is terrible to hear of the death of Alfredo Rodriguez. Sadly, he is not the only one whose life is taken away by a vehicular accident. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

An accident involving a bicycle is a particular kind of vehicular accident, and it is one that is more common than anyone is inclined to think. In fact, the NHTSA reports that roughly 677 people died and about 38,000 were injured in bicycle crashes in 2011. However, since bicycle riders are not required to register their bicycles or get a license, the number of fatalities and injuries may actually be bigger. Additionally, about 90% of all bicycle injuries are never officially reported by police agencies. Because of this, the exact percentage of bicycle accidents, fatalities and injuries because of bicycle accidents will be difficult to determine.

Vehicular accidents, especially bicycle accidents, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/bicycle accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Cleburne — 2 Mechanics Killed in Workplace Accident on Landmark Equipment

Posted on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 11:19 pm by Williams Hart

Two mechanics were killed in a workplace accident that happened in Cleburne, Texas on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

According to initial reports, during lunch hour on Wednesday, Robert Goldberg, 77, and Vikunt Chand, 46, were working to repair a skid loader in Landmark Equipment, located at the 2449 block of Weatherford Highway in Cleburne, when a part of the skid loader came down on them, pinning them down. As a result, they suffered multiple blunt force injuries and were brought to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, they were later pronounced dead there.

It is unfortunate to hear of the deaths of Robert Goldberg and Vikunt Chand. Sadly, there are countless other victims whose lives are taken away by a workplace accident. Workplace accidents are relatively common in the United States. According to statistics, 5,147 workers were killed on the job in 2017 in the country (3.5 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers). This can be interpreted as more than 99 deaths a week or more than 14 deaths every day.

In addition to this, there were 4,674 worker fatalities in private industry in the calendar year 2017, with 971 from that number (or 20.7%) being in construction. In other words, one in five worker deaths in 2017 was in construction. The leading causes of private sector deaths in the construction industry — which are referred to as the “Fatal Four” — are falls, struck by an object, electrocution, and caught-in/between. These “Fatal Four” were responsible for about 59.9% of the construction worker deaths in 2017.

Workplace accidents are undeniably terrible for the victims and their respective families. That is why, if you are a victim of a workplace accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help. Workplace accident lawyers are always present, and they will be more than willing to help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.
