Beaumont — Bicyclist Critically Injured After Hit-And-Run Accident on Delaware Street

Posted on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at 10:55 pm by Williams Hart

Just after 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2020, a bicyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, a man was driving a bicycle along Delaware Street when all of a sudden, he was struck by a vehicle in the 5300 block. The bicyclist was initially taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth and then flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He is currently listed with critical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist initially fled the scene. But eventually, he was found and arrested.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victim in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

An accident involving a bicycle is a particular kind of vehicular accident, and it is one that is more common than anyone is inclined to think. In fact, the NHTSA reports that roughly 677 people died and about 38,000 were injured in bicycle crashes in 2011. However, since bicycle riders are not required to register their bicycles or get a license, the number of fatalities and injuries may actually be bigger. Additionally, about 90% of all bicycle injuries are never officially reported by police agencies. Because of this, the exact percentage of bicycle accidents, fatalities and injuries because of bicycle accidents will be difficult to determine.

Additionally, another particular kind of vehicular accident that is quite common and deadly is a hit-and-run. According to a study done by roadside-assistance giant AAA, there were 2,049 hit-and-run deaths that occurred in 2016. This number is the highest annual total on record, and in the decade leading up to that number, 682,000 hit-and-run crashes happened each year.

Vehicular accidents, especially bicycle and hit-and-run accidents, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/bicycle accidents/hit-and-run accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Beaumont — 1 Person Dead, Several Others Injured in Rollover Accident on Eastex Freeway

Posted on Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 at 10:09 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, one person was killed and several others were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, a Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling along Eastex Freeway when in the 6600 block, it was struck by a northbound BMW Z4. The impact caused the Ford to overturn.

An occupant inside the Ford, 24-year-old Keelyn Travion Davis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other passengers inside the Ford, which included an infant, suffered unspecified injuries and were all transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The condition of the driver of the BMW is currently unclear.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is considered to be one of the deadliest is a rollover. A 2010 statistics showed that rollovers comprised only 2.1% of nearly 9.1 million vehicular accidents, but they did account for well over 35% of all deaths. According to numerous studies, about 69% of the people who died from rollovers were not wearing any seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving rollovers, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rollover accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Beaumont — Man Dies After Car Crashes into Tree on Arthur Street

Posted on Monday, March 2nd, 2020 at 7:52 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, a man was killed and a passenger was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, a car was traveling along Arthur Street when all of a sudden, in the 4100 block, it left the road and struck a tree near the dead-end of the street.

The male driver of the car, identified as 35-year-old Herman Jefferson, was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Moreover, statistics show that about 16% of these car accidents are crashes where the vehicle leaves the road. In this type of car crash, a car would usually collide into a lamppost, a tree, or a building, etc. Lamppost and tree collisions comprise about 31% of fatalities in this type of vehicular accident.

There are a lot of possible causes and factors for this kind of vehicular crash. Some of these are drunken/distracted driving, traffic accidents, medical emergencies, age, and even the weather (for example, the fog making the roads not visible, or the rain making the road slippery, etc.).

Car accidents are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Posted on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at 10:22 pm by Williams Hart

Just before 2:20 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020, a bicyclist was killed in a vehicular accident that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, Jerry Lynn Brachett, 36, was operating a bicycle eastbound on College Street in the far right lane when a silver Hyundai Accent, which was traveling the same direction, struck the bicycle from behind in the 2500 block.

Brachett was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics to revive him.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Jerry Lynn Brachett. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. Beaumont — Man Injured in Rollover Accident on Adams Street

Posted on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 7:43 am by Williams Hart

At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, a man was injured in a rollover accident that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred near the intersection of Adams Street and Rothwell Street. The driver of the car lost control, thus causing the car to roll over and land upside down in a ditch. The driver was stuck in the vehicle until someone helped him out.

He was taken to the hospital with what are described as minor injuries.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victim in this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. Beaumont — Woman Dies After T-Bone Collision on College Street

Posted on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 at 8:07 pm by Williams Hart

At around 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, a woman was killed in a T-bone collision that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, a silver Toyota Scion was traveling northbound on Wooten Road and failed to stop at the intersection of College Street. Meanwhile, a white Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound on College Street, and it collided with the Toyota Scion.

A driver of one of the vehicles, 61-year-old Brenda Joyce Kea, was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Brenda Joyce Kea. Alas, there are countless other victims that suffered the same fate.

A particular kind of car accident that is fairly common and also incredibly dangerous is the broadside collision, also known as the T-bone or side-impact collision. This kind of car accident involves a vehicle being hit on its side by the front end of another vehicle. Crash research and analysis of accident data have shown that broadside accidents represent 13% of all car accidents in the United States and that 18% of all fatal car accidents are broadside-style collisions.

Additionally, the NHTSA reported that about 8,000 people are killed every year in this type of accident. And more often than not, if someone is lucky enough to survive this collision, they might suffer from other severe injuries, such as brain injuries, broken bones, internal injuries, and back, neck, and spine injuries. Passengers on the struck side of the vehicle often sustain injuries far worse than those received in rear-end crashes.

Car accidents, especially broadside collisions, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/broadside collisions, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. Beaumont — Man Dies After Car Rear-Ends 18-Wheeler on Texas State Highway 347

Posted on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at 9:09 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, a man was killed in a rear-end collision involving an 18-wheeler that occurred in Beaumont, Texas.

According to initial reports, James Lee McClendon, 52, was driving a car southbound in the inside lane of Texas State Highway 347 when all of a sudden, he drifted in the center turn lane and struck the back of an 18-wheeler that was making a left turn.

McClendon was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of James Lee McClendon. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is fairly common in the United States is a rear-end collision. It has been reported that there are about 1.7 million rear-end collisions in the U.S. every year, and from that number, roughly 1,700 people die while another 500,000 are injured. The National Transportation Safety Bureau (NTSB) also notes that 87% of rear-end collisions happened simply because the driver was not paying attention to the road.

Additionally, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is another kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million tractor-trailers roaming in the United States, and each year, they get involved in about 500,000 accidents. And since the size of a tractor-trailer is enormous, the results of this kind of accident are catastrophic, from a severe injury to death.

Vehicular accidents, especially rear-end collisions and truck accidents, are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rear-end collisions/truck accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers.
