Houston — Middle School Student Injured After Getting Struck in Head with Scissors

On the afternoon of Friday, November 8, 2019, a middle school student was injured in a freak accident that occurred in Houston, Texas.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred at The Grantham Middle School. A student was injured after another student threw a pair of scissors at him, striking him in the head. The injured student was then taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the unidentified student. Alas, he is not the only one who is a victim of personal injury. Personal injury is simply described as an injury to the body, mind, or emotions, and a personal injury lawsuit is filed against the person or entity that caused the harm through negligence, gross negligence, reckless conduct, intentional misconduct, and in some cases on the basis of strict liability. Some of the common damages (also known as the things for which the injured person may be compensated) usually include the injured person’s medical bills, pain and suffering, and diminished quality life.
Getting injured as a direct or indirect result of someone else’s actions can be as complicated as it is devastating to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers who are experienced in cases like this.
