Florence — 10-Car Crash on TX-195 Leads to Critical Injuries
Posted on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at 5:24 am by Williams Hart
A traffic accident involving 10 vehicles in the city of Florence left two crash victims critically injured on Friday, February 8, 2019.
The collision occurred along Texas State Highway 195, and though the accident did not have any fatalities, two people were brought to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) later reported that a total of nine people were hospitalized because of this accident.
The accident caused the roadway to be closed, and it was only reopened at around 9:30 p.m. However, a second collision involving a deputy’s vehicle happened once the highway was reopened up, so the road was re-closed.
It is unfortunate to hear of the injuries that the victims of this accident sustained. Alas, they are only a few of the very many people who are affected by a car accident. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.
Car accidents are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families.
