FDA now requires blood clot warnings on testosterone drugs

Manufacturers of testosterone drugs are now being required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to place warning labels regarding an increased risk of blood clots.
Testosterone supplements were previously found to put individuals with polycythemia at increased risk of blood clots, but more recently, individuals taking this drug without polycythemia were found to also be at an increased risk of blood clots.
An ongoing investigation on further side effects of testosterone supplements is still being conducted by the FDA.
