Crosby — Two Unrelated Accidents Occur Near Crosby Middle School

Posted on Thursday, February 14th, 2019 at 5:05 am

In Crosby, Texas, two unrelated accidents happened back-to-back on FM 2100, near Crosby Middle School, on the morning of Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

The first accident, which happened at around 6:48 a.m., was a rollover accident that involved a black sedan and a black minivan in which upon the collision, the sedan flipped over and landed upside down on the side of the road. A Life Flight helicopter was contacted to airlift one of the injured victims.

The second accident, which happened at around 8 a.m. just immediately after the first one had been cleared off the road, also had one adult brought to the hospital by HCESD#5, the ambulance service for Crosby.

Investigators are still trying to determine what exactly happened in these two accidents.

It is terrible to hear of what happened to the victims of these back-to-back accidents. Unfortunately, they are not the only ones who are affected by a car accident. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

A particular kind of vehicular accident that is considered to be one of the deadliest is a rollover. A 2010 statistics showed that rollovers comprised only 2.1% of nearly 9.1 million vehicular accidents, but they did account for well over 35% of all deaths. According to numerous studies, about 69% of the people who died from rollovers were not wearing any seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Vehicular accidents, especially rollovers, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents/rollover accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.
