Conroe — Driver Missing After Crash on FM 2090 Sends 30 Feet of Fence Through Windshield

Posted on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at 8:30 pm by Williams Hart

At approximately 2 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019, a driver was reported missing after getting involved in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in Conroe, Texas.

According to initial reports, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a major accident on FM 2090, near Philmore Lane, and upon their arrival, they found a Chevrolet pickup truck that had run off the road and struck a wooden fence.

The top rail of the fence punched through the windshield near the driver before busting through the back window. The truck continued for at least another 30 feet.

Small traces of blood were found in the pickup, but the driver was nowhere in sight.

A search had been conducted, but they did not find the driver.

The crash still remains under investigation.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to this accident. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Car accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Moreover, statistics show that about 16% of these car accidents are crashes where the vehicle leaves the road. In this type of car crash, a car would usually collide into a lamppost, a tree, or a building, etc. Lamppost and tree collisions comprise about 31% of fatalities in this type of vehicular accident.

Car accidents are quite difficult for the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in car accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers.
