Margot received an undergraduate degree in History and Spanish Literature from Boston College and obtained her law degree from South Texas College of Law where she was a varsity moot court advocate. Prior to attending law school, Margot worked in the marketing group of a large, Houston-based healthcare system. Margot joined Williams Hart as a law clerk after her first year of law school and worked part-time through her second and third years of law school.
During her time at Williams Hart, Margot has assisted clients through all aspects of litigation in a number of complex pharmaceutical mass tort actions, from investigating and filing the case through trial. Most notably, she was a member of the team that successfully obtained a $38 million dollar jury verdict on behalf of a young girl born with severe birth defects.
Margot is fluent in Spanish, is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, and has been admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and volunteers with the Houston Bar Association’s Legal Line and Legal Aid programs at the VA Hospital. She is also an active member of the steering committee of Memorial Hermann Heroes in Health, a healthcare advocacy group affiliated with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston.
